Introduction:
Integral health is approaching healing with the mind, body, and spirit. According to Dacher integral health is self-generated and self0cultivated, that leads to a comprehensive, holistic, and far-reaching healing of body, mind, and spirit and that is immune to life’s adversities, including disease, aging, and death (Dacher, 3). To develop integral health you have to learn how to control your mind in order to obtain the whole approach of integral healing. Dacher explains that the brain talks to the immune system, the heart to the kidneys, the glands to each of our cells and so on, creating in the process a fully interconnected community (Dacher, 17). This is showing how our mind, body, and spirit are connected in one. It is important as healthcare workers to develop psychologically, spiritually, and physically. The psychological aspect helps us to look inside of ourselves and begin to understand ourselves. “Consciousness is the driving force that takes us toward integral health and life” (Dacher, 39). In the readings it showed that people who had a spiritual connection had a better chance of getting better quicker than the people who did not.

As health care workers it is important
that we develop the psychological, spiritual, and physical aspect of healing.
If we are able to apply these concepts in our lives then we will be able to
help other people apply the concepts to their lives.

Assessment:
Assessing yourself is sometimes a hard thing to do because you have to be honest and critical with yourself. I tried to honestly assess myself throughout this course. I have discovered that I still have so work to do on myself. The important this is once you acknowledge the work that has to be done would you be willing to make the effort to make the changes. I have been working on making changes and to try and remain consistent with the changes that I have been making. My spiritual wellness when I started this course was about a 5 and it has increased to about a 7. I may not go to church as much as I should, but I still remain a connection with God and that is where my spiritual healing has come from. My physical score was at a 6 and it is now about an 8. My physical aspect of healing is slowly improving as I try to remain consistent. My psychological aspect was at about a 5 and is now about a 6. I do not really like to look inside myself, this class had made me slowly develop my psychologically aspect of myself.

Goal development:
My physical goal for myself is to start to eat better. Even though I try to work out consistently it will not do me any good if I do not develop better eating habits. According to some studies it shows that you are supposed to eat five small meals a day or eat three regular meals with snacks in between. Psychological goal is to start to make more time for myself so that I can begin to work on training my mind and getting a better understanding of myself. My spiritual goal is become more spiritual by praying more and going to church more. Taking the time each day to read from the Bible or to have a talk with God.

Practices for personal health:
To obtain strategies that would truly foster growth in aspects of your life like spiritual, physical, and psychological you first have to be honest about where you stand and what you are trying to accomplish in each area. As you start your strategy you may adjust your plans so that you can continue to grow. To begin developing myself spiritually I first need to start by attending church more and by being around people who are spiritual so that I can begin to grow spiritually. Another plan for my spiritual growth is to start making the time to read the Bible more and to start to apply the word into my life. It is hard to stay on track of you are not around people who will not support what you are trying to accomplish, so I would make sure that I have people to encourage me and when they see me start to fall of track that they help to lead back to where I need to be. For my physical goal is to become healthy. I would start by developing a workout plan for five days a week that implements different exercises so that I would remain interested, I would participate in exercise classes to help me stay encouraged. My next goal in becoming healthy would be to start eating healthier. I would not go on a diet, but I would look to see what foods are healthy for you to eat and start from there. For my psychological goal it was hard for me to think of my goal. I first need to work on myself mentally. I would start reading self-help books so that I can start to work on myself. I would try to start meditating more so that I can begin to train my mind.

Commitment:
In order to assess your progress you have to maintain a log so that you can see where you started. In creating a log I will be able to see the days that I put forth effort and the days that I did. In keeping a log or journal I will be able to compare what I did differently on the days that I did not participate in the goals that I set for myself. After I have written everything down and the methods I used to obtain my goals, I would reassess myself in six months to see where I stood. I would determine if the plans worked and what areas I was weak in. The plans that did not work I would work on developing another plan. The areas that I was weak in I would think of ways that I could make improvements in those areas.
