Unit 8
It is really hard to describe which exercise I liked the most. I have never really been into meditation until I had to continually do it in this class. I have learned over the years that I cannot meditate before I go to sleep because it gives me crazy dreams. If I had to pick two the two that I would pick would be loving kindness and subtle mind. The loving kindness taught you how to spread love to yourself, your loved ones, and also the people that you really didn't love that is what made it a good exercise to me. The subtle mind one helped me to slowly gain control of my wondering mind and try to focus it on what was inside instead of all the things that was going on around me.

ReplyDeleteYes, I was surprised that we actually had to meditate as a requirement of this course! I really enjoyed it though as before I thought I didn't have enough time due to coursework this class pretty much made me do it! I like to meditate before I go to sleep as long as I am not to tired I can atleast get 15 minutes in. The subtle mind practice is what I use to quiet my mind in order for me to actually fall asleep. Otherwise it takes me hours to go to sleep because of the constant thinking. I also find it gives me good dreams! I also like the loving kindness exercise as I feel I can spread the love inside me to others.
